Which qualifications are required?

To train door supervisors, you must earn the Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (RQF). As of April 2021, it’s recommended that you hold the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) .

What is the Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (RQF)?

The Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment (RQF) is a single unit course to provide learners with a background understanding of the practices and importance of an assessment role. 

The course takes approximately 30 hours to complete and is composed of just one unit:

  1.  Understanding the principles and practices of assessment 

Upon completion, you may wish to progress onto the Level 4 award, though this is not mandatory if you wish to train door supervisors.

There are no specific entry requirements to enrol on this course, though learners are expected to have a minimum of level 2 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.

What is the Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF)?

The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) is an award that grants you status as internal quality assurer. You’ll be qualified to undertake IQA activities and monitor the assessments carried out internal by others,

The course takes approximately 120 hours to complete and is composed of two units. These are:

  1. Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  2. Internally assuring the quality of assessment
